About

Lin and Su Ho came to the United States from Taiwan during their honeymoon in 1982 (the plane tickets were a generous wedding gift from Su's older brother who lived in the US at the time) and immediately knew they wanted to build their dream in the US. Seven years later in 1989, they opened West Lake Asian Cuisine at 495 Center Street (Route 28) in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.

In time, West Lake grew to 3 locations in New Hampshire, with restaurants in Gilford and Lincoln. Since then, Lin and Su have sold the other two locations, deciding to focus on running the one in their home. Both Lin and Su are at the restaurant every day (except Mondays when they are closed), making sure first hand that their customers are happy. The one time they take off each year is in March when they travel back to Taiwan to visit their family.

West Lake serves the traditional Chinese restaurant menu yet also offers its customers a sneak peak at traditional Taiwanese courses with their House Specials. Loyal customers who have gotten close with Lin and Su often come in and Su will head straight into the kitchen to prepare a custom meal that one cannot get off the menu.
